According to a Fayette Regional Humane Society post, Auggie was found locked in a chicken coop and was barking for help when neighbors reported the starving dog.

When the society investigated they found the dog with no food or water in emaciated condition and took the dog from owners. Now an open investigation is against the owners with the possibility of charges.
