Southern Ohio Task Force Arrests Three for Drug Trafficking

On October 12, 2022, Agents with the Southeast Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at 4072 Center Street, New Marshfield after an investigation prompted by numerous complaints from area residents involving drug and criminal activity at the home. The residence was secured by the Athens County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team.
Sheriff Smith states “Agents with the Task Force, Athens County Sheriff’s Office, Athens County Prosecutor’s Office, and Ohio Adult Parole Authority conducted a search of the home and located suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and further evidence of drug use and trafficking.” A firearm and electronic devices were also seized as evidence.
David Scott Coen, age 51, was arrested at the home for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and Having Weapons While Under Disability, a felony of the third degree.
Christina L. Oliver, age 45, was arrested at the home for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, Having Weapons While Under Disability, a felony of the third degree, and Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the third degree.
While on scene investigators learned that Kenneth G. Perry Jr, age 38, was at a neighboring property and had an active warrant for his arrest. He was located and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
All applicable items seized during the search warrant will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations laboratory for testing.

The Athens Sheriff’s Office would also like to acknowledge and thank Athens County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn, Chief Investigator Jay Barrett, the remaining investigators with the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for their assistance.
