ASHVILLE – A new kind of scam has popped up on Facebook that looks quite different than other scams.
This scam claims that people are moving and that they cannot bring a lot of things with them and are downsizing. They say everything is barely used or brand new. Some items are offered that can be delivered.
When you message the person selling she asks for money through cash app to hold the items due to the high demand.
An address in Ashville is used for pick up, but when people go to the address the homeowner is unaware of any sale because he didn’t post anything. That same homeowner on the Long street has now called the police due to the number of people who have shown up at his door.
