CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Rumpke Waste & Recycling has officially announced the launch of its curbside recycling program in Pickaway County, with service set to begin in Circleville on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Residents who have signed up for the new service can expect their recycling carts to be delivered on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. All recycling pickups will take place on Mondays, regardless of a household’s regular trash collection day.

In preparation for the rollout, Rumpke is asking residents to place their recycling carts at the curb on the street associated with their address — not in alleyways or adjacent side streets. This measure is intended to improve service efficiency, ensure team safety, and prevent potential property damage in tight spaces.

“We’re excited to bring curbside recycling to the residents of Circleville,” a Rumpke representative said. “We truly appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and cooperation.”
While the initial rollout is limited to households within Circleville city limits, Rumpke has received interest from nearby homeowners associations and residents outside the city boundaries. As a result, the company is reviewing a potential service expansion beyond Circleville proper in the near future.
Sign-ups are still open for residents who live inside the city limits. Interested individuals can register for the program by calling 1-800-828-8171. Notably, participants do not need to be Rumpke trash customers in order to enroll in the recycling service.
Rumpke thanked residents for their support and looks forward to providing reliable, environmentally conscious service to Circleville and beyond.
