Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy Stops Suspected Drunk Driver After High-Speed Chase

A Ross County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on Sunday Morning around 1 am on a vehicle near Massieville on suspicion of driving under the influence. The incident unfolded after the driver, Randall Stinson who has a suspended driver’s license, was spotted operating a vehicle.

According to reports, the driver disobeyed the deputy’s lights and sirens, leading them on a brief pursuit. The chase ended when the driver pulled onto a private property and stopped the vehicle.

Officers apprehended the driver without further incident. A search of the vehicle revealed unopened leaf blowers. The ownership of these items could not be immediately verified, and they were impounded along with the vehicle.

The driver Randall Stinson was transported to the Ross County Jail and faces charges of driving under suspension and failure to comply with a police order. They are scheduled to appear in court on March 18, 2024.
