Ross – Ross county sheriff is reporting a scam that is occurring in the county
According to the sheriff the caller states they are from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and tells the person there is a warrant for their arrest. The caller then tells the person they can clear the warrant up by sending money.
My office will never notify a person by telephone of a warrant, and will never solicit money.
