Chillicothe – Two women were arrested and charged with several counts after being found with illegal substances.
According to the Chillicothe police department, while on patrol an officer witnessed a white Chevy Cruze cross East Main Street Wendys to Speedway with no headlights on, the vehicle’s temporary license plate was also expired so a traffic stop was conducted. During the stop, officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle and asked if they had any drugs in the car. The driver identified as 24-year-old Haley Vansickle was asked to exit the vehicle. She was asked if she had any drugs on her body and she reached into her bra and produced a glass pipe, during the removal of the pipe a dollar bill with a white substance inside fell to the ground. The officer asked what was inside and she said crack cocaine. The officer then asked her when was the last time she used due to her constricted pupils and behavior. She told the officer that she had used both methamphetamine and crack cocaine.
During the stop, the other officer approached the other woman who was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle. At first, she refused to identify herself, but eventually, she was identified, as Rickelyn Dolby who was found to have a warrant out of Pickaway County. She was placed under arrest and asked if she had anything illegal on herself and she said no, but after a search of her purse it was found that she was in possession of dried mushrooms. Rickelyn stated that she forgot that the mushrooms were in her purse and stated that if she knew they were she would’ve just taken them so they weren’t found.
While conducting search of the back seat I began searching a black and white backpack sitting opposite of where Rickelyn was seated. In the backpack, I found a pink hygiene bag that contained a small white box. I opened the box and found multiple bags of a white crystal substance, a white powder substance, and a purple powder. I also found three syringes that appeared to be unused.
Haley’s vehicle was inventoried and impounded, Haley was subsequently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, OVI, times for headlights on roadways, and expired registration. Rickelyn Dolby was transported to the Ross/Pickaway county line and turned Dolby over to the Pickaway
county Sheriff’s Office on their warrant. Both women could have more charges after the mushrooms and the suspected drugs come back from BCI on their identification.
