Ross County — The Grand Jury returned all 14 of their cases on Friday, May 24th, with four open for release to the public. From testimony in the the Grand Jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
On March 14th, Ross County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to make a welfare check at a residence in the 6000 block of Marietta Road.
47-year-old Wesley A. Green of Orange Street in Chillicothe had said that the mother and grandmother of his five-year-old son were acting strange and suspicious. Green had said he wanted to file a missing child report, and wanted to know where the child was, or who he was with.
At the residence, the deputies were met with a man who said Green had been harassing the mother and grandmother, and that Green was using the Sheriff’s Office to further harass him and his wife. Deputies reported that nothing appeared out of place at the residence.
Green does not have rights to or custody of the child, and has a “no contact order” (like an informal protection or retraining order) from Chillicothe Municipal Court, and two priors.
For indictments on:
- Fourth-degree felony menacing by stalking, Green could get up to 18 months and $5,000 in fines.
- First-degree misdemeanor making a false alarm, Green could get up to six months and $1,000 in fines.
