ROSS – On Wednesday a man was found behind the wheel of a vehicle in a corn field after a passerby called 911.
According to Ross County Sheriff’s office, on, August 17, 2022, at approximately 9:38 pm., the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous call that a pickup truck was on Fairgrounds Road in the cornfield.
The anonymous caller reported the vehicle lights were on and the vehicle was running. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver submitted to a breath test that resulted in 0.201 % BAC.
A loaded firearm was located directly underneath the steering wheel. The driver Jerid Sutton was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and improper handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.
The driver was booked into the Ross County Jail.
