LOGAN, Ohio – Imagine a weekend getaway in the Hocking Hills with some of Ohio’s most popular trails just a few feet away from your room. Beginning today, reservations will be accepted for lodge rooms at the new Hocking Hills State Park Lodge, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
The new lodge, expected to open in early autumn, has 81 rooms available for reservations beginning Nov. 1, 2022. Hocking Hills State Park enthusiasts are encouraged to visit hockinghillsparklodge.com or call 1-800-AT-A-PARK (1-800-282-7275) as demand for overnight accommodations is expected to be high. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance. As we approach the anticipated fall opening date, earlier reservation dates will become available.
“With the opening of new lodge reservations, Hocking Hills State Park enthusiasts have an opportunity to be some of the first guests at the new Hocking Hills Lodge,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “We are looking forward to providing Ohioans with another opportunity to spend time outside with family and friends, surrounded by the wonders of the Hocking Hills region.”
Room designs include king, double queen, king bunk, and queen bunk rooms; many of the rooms have patios or balconies. Each room offers a full bath with a shower, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, high-definition TV, and other traditional hotel amenities.
Additionally, four two-room suites will be available and offer a separate living area with a pull-out sofa and kitchenette. The lodge also offers several accessible king and double queen rooms.
Lodge operations will be managed by U.S. Hotel and Resort Management, which will also manage the state park’s cabins beginning Aug. 1, 2022. Cabin guests will have access to all of the lodge’s amenities. They also operate Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay, Mohican, Punderson, Salt Fork, and Shawnee State Park lodges. The Lodge at Geneva is operated by Delaware North.
“We are excited to begin accepting lodge room reservations for Ohio State Park’s newest lodge at Hocking Hills,” said Tom Biegler, President, U.S. Hotel and Resort Management. “Our staff is thrilled to offer the same first-rate overnight amenities and superb hospitality offered across Ohio’s state park lodges at Hocking Hills Lodge.”
Like other Ohio State Park lodges, the Hocking Hills Lodge will offer a large public lobby with oversized fireplaces, event space for over 200, a dining room & lounge, grab-and-go café, fitness center, gift shop, and indoor and outdoor pool complexes, both featuring all-season hot tubs.
The lodge has been under construction since 2020. Nearly complete, the architecture incorporates the surrounding woods and natural landscape into its rustic design.
