According to The Consumer Product Safety Commission, Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles are being recalled due to a choking risk from the water bottle’s clear silicone spout detaching.
So far, there have been 149 reports of the black spouts detaching, 18 found in children’s mouths.
The bottles vary in size from 13 to 20 ounces and are available in 4 different colors. The recall involves only black color spout base and spout cover models.
The bottles were available for purchase at Costco, Walmart, Target, and other stores nationwide from April 2018 through June 2019.
If you or someone you know has an affected bottle, you are asked to immediately stop using them and do not let children have them.
