CIRCLEVILLE – A stolen vehicle out of Circleville leads police on a twenty minute chase into Franklin County.

Police picked up the chase of the older model Ford Pick up truck when it came through South Bloomfield around 1 pm on Saturday. Police were searching for the vehicle not because it was stolen at the time but because it had hit a horse trailer attached to a truck on the North Court Street Exit.

The plates came back to be a stolen vehicle in Circleville recently. When the police attempted to pull over 35 year old Amber Dawn Brown she decided to run.

The chase started in South Bloomfield and continued Northbound at a high rate of speed weaving through traffic on 23. When they entered Franklin County Brown tried to elude police by turning into Southgate road where police had deployed spike strips and blew the front left side tire of the vehicle. This didn’t stop Brown completely and she turned into a small neighborhood on Amsterdam drive with no drivers side tire before coming to rest. Police were able to arrest Brown fairly quickly after getting the truck stopped.

Brown has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Failure to Comply with a police signal, resisting arrest, possession of drug instruments, receiving stolen property, Driving under Suspension, Right of way of public safety vehicles, and driving in marked lanes. Brown is being housed in Pickaway County Jail where she will await bond hearing.
