Police Arrest Felony Warrant Suspect in Stolen Car After a Move-Over Infraction

SOUTHWEST COLUMBUS – Police arrest a man after a small chase in a stolen vehicle after he fails to move-over for safety vehicles on roadway.

Sheriff Baldwin states on July 20 around 3:29 am deputies were assisting a tow truck driver on eastbound I-270 just south of Georgesville road on Columbus West Side. When a 2006 Ford Truck failed to move over for police and the tow truck driver with lights flashing. One of the cruisers gave chase to the truck driven by Adrew Seitz of Columbus, Seitz failed to pull over and tried to flee police. HE attempted to allude police when driving off the Southbound i-71 ramp and into a construction zone where he got stuck on a pavement cutaway and construction dirt. The suspect then jumped out of the truck and tried to outrun police in a foot pursuit. Seitz was captured moments after.

It was discovered that the truck that was driven by Seitz was stolen and he had been on the run from several law enforcement agencies over the last two years on four felony (No Bond) Warrants from Madison County for Breaking and entering, Grand Theft, and Vandalism. Seitz also had a warrant from Lancaster and Four warrants from Franklin for several weapons charges and possession of drugs. Seitz will now face new felony charges related to this incident.
