Nan L. Spangler, 82, of Amanda, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Amanda, to the late Boyd and Ruth “Bobo” (Milligan) Young.
Nan was member of the Amanda Presbyterian Church and worked as a secretary for five years at Houston Grain, then 17 years at Midwest Manufacturing.
Nan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Edgar; son, Keith Spangler, and grandson, Lance Spangler, both of Lancaster; sisters, Ann Norris of Alabama and Carol Walton of Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Kit Young of Texas, Kaye Young of Indiana and Peggy (Albert) Ford of Lancaster; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Bill Boyer; brothers, Bob Young and Carl Young; brothers and sisters-in-law, Barney and Freda Young and Chuck and Betty Young; brothers-in-law, Jim Norris and Bob Walton; as well as three nieces and three nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Liz Tietz officiating. Burial to follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to service from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
