Mary Virginia “Ginny” Wilson

Mary Virginia “Ginny” Wilson, 87, of Circleville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, in Columbus.

She was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Pickaway County, the only child of Clayton Baldwin and Helen Elizabeth (Peters) Baum.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, L. Romaine “Red” Wilson in 1982.

Ginny was a 1945 graduate of Ashville Harrison High School and graduated in 1949 from White Cross School of Nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse at Dupont and Berger Hospital.

Ginny was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and enjoyed volunteering at Children’s Hospital and for the Circle of Caring. She was also a devoted fan of OSU football.

A loving mother and grandmother, Ginny leaves behind daughters, Julie (Craig) Wills of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Sally E. (Joe McDevitt) Arledge of Circleville; granddaughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Batista, Kristen (Steve) Wynn, Megan Arledge and McKenna Arledge; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Laila and Jonas Batista, London and Calvin Wynn and Hailee Ramey; cousin, Elaine Winter; brothers-in-law, Eugene Wilson and Ronald (Nancy) Wilson; several nieces and nephews: and many dear and special friends.

The family wishes to thank Milt and Teresa Emerine, Trish Zapien, Danielle Congrove and Diane Sanyal of Constance Care; Fresenius Dialysis Center; Hands for Disabled; and Pickaway Manor.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 E. Mound St., Circleville, with The Rev. Dr. Gerhard Kraus officiating. Burial of the urn will be held at Reber Hill Cemetery at a later date.
