Allen Lee Hill, 42, of Lancaster, formerly of Circleville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Pickering House in Lancaster after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 21, 1972, in Circleville, the son of Charles A. Hill and Linda S. (Martin) Hill-Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Charles E. Hill; a sister, Cheryl Hill Strawser; maternal grandparents, Wade and Maudie (Hicks) Martin; and paternal grandmother, Ethel (Plum) Hill.
Allen is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Linda Hill-Chandler and Terry Chandler of Lancaster; sister, Elaina (Ray) Hardesty of Circleville and her children, Renee (Matt) Gray, Nathan and Brandon Hardesty; step-brother, TJ (Maria) Chandler of Lancaster, and his son, Kyle; aunts, Mary (Ron) Straight, Barbara Martin, Vera Curtis, Evelyn Martin and Cheryl (Charles) Jenkins; uncle, George (Lisa) Martin; and several cousins.
Allen was a 1992 graduate of Circleville High School and Pickaway-Ross Vocational School. He had a passion for cars, especially Mopar, and was a fan of the TV show Street Outlaws. He loved big, fat, greasy cheeseburgers and once tackled the “terminator,” consuming the whole thing.
Allen was a joy to his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Circleville, with Chaplain Kermit L. Welty officiating. Burial will be in Browns Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
