Miller named to Wittenberg dean’s list

Jessica Miller, class of 2018 from Orient, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at Wittenberg University. To qualify, Miller maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the semester.


Students named to Trailblazer Academy dean’s list at OCU

Anna Shappert of Commercial Point and Shane Edmonds of Orient recently were named to the dean’s list at Ohio Christian University for the spring 2015 semester. Both are students enrolled in the Trailblazer Academy taking dual credit courses at OCU.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours.


Local students named to traditional program dean’s list at OCU

The following area students were named to the traditional program dean’s list at Ohio Christian University for the Spring 2015 Semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours.

Dean’s list students include Alyse Copeland, Kristen Morgan, Chandler Myers, Kassandra Taylor and Rebecca Hicks of Ashville; Kaitlin Alfrey, Miracle Higginbotham, Michaella Huffman, Aaron Kratz, Helena Marfell, Caitlyn McCrary, Evan McDonald, Matthew Merringer, Tyler Payne, Kaylee Piper, William Rodgers, Jalisa Schrock, Douglas Smith, Ruth Van Sandt, Phillip DeMint, Calee Febes and Kelsea Gifford of Circleville; Logan Edmonds, Samantha Williams, Katherine Lawless and Sarah Varney of Orient; and Michaela Kaiser of Williamsport.


Students awarded scholarships from Ohio Christian University

The following local students have been awarded a scholarship from Ohio Christian University:

Autumn Adams of Ashville is the recipient of the James and Diane Sutton Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Adams is studying middle childhood education.

Nathan Copeland of Ashville is the recipient of the Ohio Christian University Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Copeland is studying business management.

Alyse Copeland of Ashville is the recipient of the James and Diane Sutton Scholarship and Pat Duncan Memorial Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Copeland is studying music education.

Kelsea Gifford of Circleville is the recipient of the Tom & Elaine Fletcher Scholarship Fund from Ohio Christian University. Gifford is studying Christian ministries.

Rachael Lynch of New Hollandis the recipient of the Janet Metzler Scholarship and James & Diane Sutton Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Lynch is studying music education.

Kristen Morgan of Ashville is the recipient of the Paul H. Hoobler Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Morgan is studying chemical dependency counseling.

Paige Murphy of Circleville is the recipient of the Pickaway County Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Murphy is studying psychology.

Samantha Williams of Orient is the recipient of the James and Diane Sutton Scholarship from Ohio Christian University. Williams is studying early childhood education.

These merit- and need-based scholarships are made possible by the generous support of those who partner in stewardship with the university and were awarded during the recent Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony.


Banner named to dean’s list at Denison

Patrick Banner of South Bloomfield was one of 372 students named to Denison University’s 2015 spring semester dean’s list by Provost Kim Coplin.

“Denison students thrive as they learn new modes of thought and are challenged to see the world in complex ways by faculty who share their own personal enthusiasm for research and scholarship,” Coplin said.

Students who achieve dean’s list status have maintained a grade point average of 3.7 or better (out of 4.0) for the semester.

Banner is a member of the Denison class of 2018.


Students named to dean’s list, president’s list at Youngstown State

Laine Bulmer and Corie Hoselton of Circleville have been named to the spring 2015 dean’s list and president’s list at Youngstown State University.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 3.4 or better and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit.

To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must carry a semester grade point average of 4.0 and take a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit.


Livingston earns dean’s list honors

Thomas Livingston of Orient recently was named to The University of Akron’s spring 2015 dean’s list. To be eligible, Livingston maintained a GPA of 3.5-3.99 and was enrolled in 12 or more credit hours.
