Barbara J. Cummins, age 76, of Ashville, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1941, in Pickaway County, to the late Eddie and Caroline (Kuhlwein) Pritchard.
She was a graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School Class of 1960 and retired from Teays Valley Local School District where she worked as a bus driver for over 30 years. She had also worked previously at Scioto Downs.
Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Circleville, O.E.S Lodge 440 in Groveport, was a 4-H adviser and enjoyed showing Arabian horses.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William “Bill” Pritchard.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth E. Cummins; children, David (Donna) Cummins of Ashville and Kim (Tim) Welch of Ashville; sisters, Carol (James) Graham of Columbus and Betty (Robert) Stickel of Estero, Florida; brother, James (Teresa) Pritchard of Ashville; sister-in-law, Peggy Pritchard of Ashville; grandchildren, David, Matthew, Madison, Maria, Caleb and Alexis; six great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Billy Barbo officiating.
