Ronald Eugene Smith, 45, of Mount Sterling, passed away on Aug. 9, 2016.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1971, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Larry and Diane (Pennington) Smith.
Ronald, an Army veteran, graduated from Kubasaki High School, Okinawa, Japan. He was a Boy Scout assistant and was a life member of VFW Post 3331.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife, Fran (Lemaster) Smith; children, Lillee and Gabriel Smith and Zack and Leah Huffer; grandchildren, Andrew Osteen Jr. and Jay Huffer; sister, Dianna (Brian) Gossett; brother, James Smith (Charlene); and by nieces and nephews, Jamie Collins, Ronald III and Kaitlyn Walsh, Tyler Gompf, Robert Smith, A.J. Hinson, Emily, P.J. and Sophia Lemaster.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Meade Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
