Raymond Steele, 73, of Darbyville, died Aug. 8, 2016, in Columbus.
He was born April 16, 1943. in Grayson, Kentucky, the son of William E. and Phoebe (Seagraves) Steele.
He was an U.S Navy veteran, member of Seventh Day Adventist, was an avid baseball fan and coached the Bad News Boys.
He made an annual walk to Kentucky to raise money for the needy and gardened to help feed the needy.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, William E. Steele Jr., Otis and Garland Steele, Faye Scott, Bonnie Floyd, Carolyn Seagraves, Judy Perkins and Mary Marcum.
He is survived by his sons, Terry and Mark Steele; grandchildren, Cody, Cole, Raven and Clayton; great-grandchild, Adrian; former wife, Freda (Hayes) Steele; and siblings, Lucille Rice, Bertha Wells, Minnie Rogers, Cora Crockett and James Steele.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Muhlenberg Twp. Cemetery, Darbyville. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
