James Edward Leist, 80, of Circleville, passed away on July 27, 2016.
He was born on July 28, 1935, in Circleville, to Gerald E. and Mary (Stout) Leist.
He was a member of Heritage Nazarene, a 1954 Circleville High School graduate and a member of Gideons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Leadingham) Leist; and granddaughter, Madline Call.
James is survived by his children, David Leist, Barbara Wilson (Eric) Morgan and Melissa Frailey-Call; grandchildren, Andrew (Kerren), Elizabeth and Tyler Wilson, Nicholas Morgan, Rebecca Frailey, Seth and Jenna Call; and by sisters, Sally Cotton, Ruth Lee, Betty Chambers and Geraldine Puckett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Heritage Nazarene Church. Burial will follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wellman Funeral Home.
