July 23:

– Officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 100 block of York Street. The male subject left for the evening.

– A caller advised her 17-year-old daughter was refusing to come home on Dearborn Avenue. Officers advised it was a misunderstanding between the daughter and her mother after the father gave permission for her to spend the night elsewhere.

– A caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly on West Main Street near North Court. All units were advised to be on the lookout.

– A caller reported a vehicle struck another vehicle in the 200 block of North Court Street, and the driver got out, inspected the damage and drove away. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– Officers performed a well-being check on South Washington Street but were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller from Tootle’s on East Main Street reported a male subject with a knife made off-hand remarks and was riding a bicycle and waving a knife around. Officers advised the object was actually a screwdriver for the bicycle, and the subject checked OK.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 200 block of East Franklin Street after officers responded to reports of an ongoing juvenile issue.

– A caller reported he believed a vehicle was chasing a male subject on foot in the area of East Union and Clinton streets. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident came to the police station to report someone is putting blocks in the alleyway of the 200 block of East Main Street again. Extra patrol was requested.

– A resident at Appleridge Apartments on Lancaster Pike advised someone struck their vehicle overnight.

– A caller in the 600 block of Maplewood Avenue reported a known subject was being abusive and making threats.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at Gibby’s on West Main Street.

– A resident came to the police station to report finding a small black case containing what he believed to be marijuana.

– Officers responded to a vehicle accident in the 100 block of East Main Street.

– A resident in the 500 block of Douglas Drive reported finding bicycles behind his home.

– A caller from Kroger reported the ice coolers were broken into again the night before.

– A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Avenue reported four fishing poles had been stolen from his front porch.

– A caller from Donato’s Pizza reported a male on a motorcycle rode up next to him, hit his window and threatened him.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Mill Street reported she arrived home to find her front door open and her TV missing. A report was taken on burglary.

– An employee of Discount Grocery on South Pickaway Street reported a shoplifter. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident on West High Street reported her father’s firearms were stolen.

– A caller reported a suspected runaway juvenile was walking in the 200 block of South Court Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 400 block of Ruth Avenue reported his patio furniture was stolen.

– A resident in the 400 block of Half Avenue reported someone put sugar in his gas tank.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported her daughter’s friend would not leave the property.

– A caller reported four juveniles were riding their bicycles in and out of traffic at Mound and Clinton streets. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

– A caller reported a male subject who was reported earlier in the day was back in the 1000 block of South Washington Street trying to pick up his truck.

– A caller reported a possibly intoxicated driving was driving on Pontious Lane. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller on Ridgedale Drive reported a neighbor’s fence was open while the neighbor was on vacation. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a possibly intoxicated driving on Hillcrest Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Mound Street reported someone was setting off fireworks. Officers were unable to locate the subjects. The caller later advised a cruiser drove through the area but didn’t do anything, so she confronted the neighbors herself and no longer needed police. She called back a third time to report the other people were now yelling things at her. All parties were advised of their behavior.

– Dispatchers received a 911 call from the 100 block of West Water Street in which all that could be heard was yelling between two women and a small child in the background. An arrest was made on domestic charges.

– A caller in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported seeing smoke and she could now smell it. Officers were unable to locate any smoke in the area.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Union Street reported a party across the street, and people were on top of the roof and being loud. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A security guard at G.E. on East Ohio Street reported an attempted breaking and entering.

July 24:

– Officers responded to a 911 call from the Eagles on East Main Street. Employees said it was an accidental call.

– A caller in the 100 block of Logan Street reported a neighbor playing loud music. The music was turned down prior to the officer’s arrival.

– A resident on East Union Street reported known subjects were outside screaming at each other. The female subject left prior to the officer’s arrival.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 400 block of Ridgedale Drive. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ohio Market. The scene checked OK.

– A cell phone was located on the bench in front of the Pickaway County Courthouse. A report was taken on found property.

– A caller reported a burglary in progress in the 500 block of East Union Street. Officers determined the subjects were contractors hired to do work at the residence.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 100 block of Logan Street.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street reported a known subject was tearing up the house. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A caller from Zanzi’s Pizza reported an altercation between four people in the alley. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Pontious Lane.

– A caller in the 500 block of Renick Avenue reported a known subject was just at his residence trying to beat in his door to get to him. Officers advised it was regarding a civil issue, and the caller was advised to call if the subject returned.

– Officers responded to reports of a reckless driver on Lancaster Pike. The driver checked OK but was advised of his driving habits.

– A caller from Donato’s Pizza reported a male subject had been in the store acting strangely and not ordering any food. All units were advised to be on the lookout.

– A caller reported she was at the auto shop at Pontious Lane and Lancaster Pike, and a known subject shoved a table into her hip. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Second Baptist Church on West Mill Street. The scene checked OK.

– An officer responded to questions about a custody order in the 400 block of East Main Street.

– A caller on Alma Avenue reported threats or harassment by known subjects. The caller was advised to block the subjects on social media. Extra patrol was requested.

– A caller reported three juveniles entered an abandoned residence on East Union Street. The scene checked OK, and the owner of the property advised it was her kids and fiance.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Main Street reported a known subject stole her house key, and she could not get into her residence. The officer advised it was a civil issue.

– A caller in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported people in the neighborhood were harassing her. The officer determined no threats were made, but they did trespass. Extra patrol was requested.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported a raccoon had gotten inside her basement, and she did not know what to do. The raccoon made its way into a vent duct, and the homeowner agreed to call pest control in the morning.

– A resident in the 100 block of Walnut Street reported a known subject smacked his daughter in the head at another address in the city, and he wanted to file a report. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Western Avenue reported someone was looking through her window, and when she caught him, he took off on foot. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller reported a week ago he was jumped by a couple of people who were taken to jail. He reported he was currently at the CVS parking lot on East Main Street, and the same people just drove by and threw a water bottle, almost hitting his sister in the head. A report was taken on harassment.
