Carroll E. Irvin, 74, of Kingston, died 6:44 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Mt. Carmel East following a brief illness.
He was born June 9, 1942, in Chillicothe, to Everett A. and Vallie V. Bragg Irvin.
He was married to the former Wanda Reed, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brett (Sandi Harshaw) Irvin of Ulm, Montana; grandchildren, Kylee and Raina Irvin; step-children, Sheri (David) Rarick and Kevin (Wendy) Reed; step-grandchildren, Marina, Amanda, and Natalie Rarick and Remington Reed; brothers, Rodney (Mary) Irvin, Larry (Connie) Irvin and Marlin Irvin, all of Chillicothe, Clark (Elaine) Irvin of Bainbridge and Dwight Irvin of Williamsport; sisters, Carlene Baker and Gayle Irvin, both of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Everett A.L. Irvin; mother and step-father, Vallie and Stanley Matheney; brothers, Elwyn, Ophrey and Everett T. Irvin; and a sister, Lucille Detty.
Carroll retired from the former RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Carroll enjoyed fishing, hunting and ball games. He will always be dearly loved and missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Rev. Danny Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
