Robert Cormany Black, 96, of Ashville, died July 1, 2016.
He was born July 15, 1919, in Pickaway County, the son of Franklin and Catherine (Cormany) Black.
Robert was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Esther Huston; and brothers, Oliver Kenneth and Dewey Black.
He is survived by his children, Bradley Black and Brenda (Geoffrey) Hite; grandchildren, Chad (Rocky) Black, Brad (Lori) Black II, Carrie (Ryan) Morrison Corey (Katie) Black, Laura (Joshua) Ramey and Benjamin Hite; and sisters, Martha Jane Truex, Maxine Stebelton and Lois Melvin.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Marcy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Lithopolis Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
