Richard Eugene Imler, 87, of Kingston, went to be with our Lord on June 26, 2016, at Logan Elm Healthcare, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1928, the son of the late Merrill B. and Mary C. (Richter) Imler.
On Dec. 9, 1957, he married his wife of 34 years, Mary Ellen (Pritchard) Imler, who preceded him in death in 1991.
He is survived by his son, Bret (Maxine) Imler of Circleville; sister, Maxine (David) Mosley of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Imler of Kingston and Brooke (Trent) Brownfield of Barnesville; great-grandchildren, Henry Richard Imler and Maci Ellen Brownfield; and several special nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Wingett Dillie.
Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He also retired from DuPont, Circleville, after 35 years of service.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Imler Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hill’s.
