Harold W. Arledge Jr.

Harold Woodrow Arledge Jr., 76, of Chillicothe, beloved father and husband, went unexpectedly to be with our Lord on May 3, 2016.

He was born on April 16, 1940, the son of the late Harold and Helen (Congrove) Arledge Sr.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen (Parker) Arledge; children, Vicki (John) Ford III, Karen (Bud) Lemaster, Lisa (Todd) Huffer and Michael (Tonya) Arledge; 13 beloved grandchildren; 24 beloved great-grandchildren; special brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Carol Parker Sr.; sister, Beatrice Ritchhart; brothers, Marvin Arledge, Loren Arledge, Lloyd Arledge, and Darrel Arledge; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank special home caregivers, Shelly Kuthschbach-Horch and Delores Schneider, and National Church Residences staff for the loving care they provided.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Trey Arledge; and niece, Tammy (Parker) Arledge.

Harold proudly retired from his work as a farmer and at the Chillicothe Postal Service. He enjoyed sports including football, baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed watching Chillicothe Paints and going to high school state tournaments.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hill’s.
