McKenzie Joy Fleshman, age 8, of Williamsport, passed away at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, after a long and hard battle. She is now with her Lord and Savior.
She was born Feb. 19, 2008, in Springfield.
She loved the Disney Princesses, her iPad, her stuffed animal “Scratch” and of course, her favorite color was pink.
McKenzie was known for being spunky and sassy. She was also a member of the Grace Community Church.
Survivors include her devoted parents, Chuck and Jean Yenichek Fleshman; siblings, Nikki (Fred) Taylor, Tiffany (Ron) Davitt, Joe (Jessica) Fleshman, Paul (Heather) Fleshman, Jimmy (Brandi) Fleshman, Peter (Erica) Fleshman and Aliyah Fleshman; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her “special” friend, Dr. Mo. Also surviving are her two dogs, Rosie and Roxie, and her cat, Fluffy.
The funeral service was held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Ave., Washington Court House, with Pastors Jay Lucas, Paul Crichton and Sean Fox officiating. Friends called at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for all of their excellent care and compassion.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home, Washington Court House.
