Jerry Allen Manering, 54, of Circleville, passed away on Feb. 25, 2016, in Columbus.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1961, in Gallipolis, to William and Catherine (Angles) Manering.
He previously was a deputy sheriff in Wellston and worked for Fletcher’s Towing. He loved to hunt and fish, play softball, attend car shows and spend time with his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jeremy Manering; and brothers, James, John and Joseph Manering.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mandy (Fletcher) Manering of Circleville; children, Justin Manering of Las Vegas, Cierra Allen, Mason Drewett and Xavier Allen all of Circleville; siblings, Judy (Thomas) Yerian, Jay C. (Debbie) Manering, Jeff (Amy) Manering all of Jackson, his in-laws, Bill and Carol Fletcher; sisters-in-law, Billie (Andy) Welch and Jeanne (Bill) Kellstadt; his beloved dog, Cujo; and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
