January students of the month

At Walnut Elementary School, a student from each homeroom is chosen as the “Student of the Month” by the staff members at Walnut. The students are recognized for improvement in grades or good grades, good attendance or improvement in attendance, character, behavior, attitude toward others/learning, good citizenship or improvement in citizenship, classroom participation, demonstrating responsibility and/or respectful to peers and teachers.

January “Students of the Month” are Sophia Hastler, Hailey Mathews and Shyann Minier, kindergarten; Brayden Houser, Charles Herald and Peyton Hendricks, first grade; Karlee Tussing, Carson Weaver and Caige Wells, second grade; Austin Gray, Cody McConnaughey and Tucker Woods, third grade; James Bush, Owen Kennedy and Gabrielle Watkins, fourth grade; and Ashton Bair, Greg Eckert and Tyler Price, fifth grade.
