Mark D. Warner, age 62, of Mt. Sterling, was called to Heaven by our Great Lord and Savior on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016.
He was born July 29, 1953, in Columbus.
Mark was a humble, selfless soldier for Christ. He lived his life with a smile on his face and joy in his heart, a committed husband, devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend who knew not a stranger. Ask anyone, and this man of God, this jack of all trades made everyone he met better just by knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul F. and Betty (Emrick) Warner.
Mark is temporarily leaving behind his wife of 20 years, Linda; children, Chad (Heather) Warner, Mindy (Stu) Yensel, Sara (Bryan) Robinson, Katie (Brady) Houseman and Matt Edgington; siblings, Joy (Tim) Evans, Bonnie Houser and Billy (Chonita) Warner; grandchildren, Gabby and Bella Patete, Colton Burns, Braxton Robinson and soon-to-be “baby boy” Houseman.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene, where Mark had his membership. Rev. Jeff Griffith and Billy Warner will officiate with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at the church.
Family suggest memorial contributions be given to Inner City Missions, P.O. Box 23087, Columbus, OH 43223.
The family is being served by the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. Visit www.tiddfuneralservice.com.
