Doris “Dottie” Young, 87, of Circleville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016.

Born Feb. 6, 1928, she was the daughter of Rose Marie and John Franklin Knece.

Dottie was a retired Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir at Circleville First Church and a staunch supporter of Second Chance Ministries.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Donald A. Young Sr.; son, Tommy Young; daughter, Deborah A. Young Purdue; and brother, Donald L. Knece.

She is survived by daughters, Donna J. Young and DyAnna “Dee” (John) Weaver, both of Circleville; son, Donald (Mary) Young Jr. of Mountain City, Tennessee; sister, Barbara Sue Knece, and brother, Paul R. (Gloria) Knece, both of Circleville; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union, 436 E. Ohio St., Circleville, with burial to follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Second Chance Ministries, c/o Circleville First Church, 436 E. Ohio St., Circleville, OH 43113.
