Charles D. Boler, 87, of Circleville, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015.
Don was born on July 12, 1928, in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of Lacy and Effie Jane (Sumpter) Boler.
Charles retired from Ross County Engineering.
Don never met a stranger. Whether he was in a store or a restaurant, he was always out talking to people, making new friends. He enjoyed music and has written many songs, going to church and spending time with his family and friends, especially his good friends Curtis Caples and Bruce Stevens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Kaye; and sister, Virginia Lawson.
Charles is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pat (Giffin) Boler; sons, Greg (Stella), Charles Douglas and Roger (Carissa) Boler; daughters, Kathryn (Brad) Wyatt and Cherita Neil, all of Chillicothe; stepchildren, Jackie (Rick) Vanover, Penny (Glenn) Weaver, Beeman (Jeanne) Leasure, Sharon (Bruce) Fout, Denise (Hoss) Leasure and Tyler (Mandy) Leasure; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Bertha Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A bereavement dinner will follow at the Community Center at Kingston Mound Manor.
