Pike County, Ohio – The Pike County Sheriff’s Office has been successful in a search operation for a missing 6-year-old girl with special needs, identified as Aries Marie Flannery, after receiving a distress call earlier this morning.
At 6:45 a.m., authorities were alerted that Aries Marie Flannery, described as 4 feet tall, weighing between 50 to 60 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, may have wandered off from her residence. The juvenile was last seen wearing a long sleeve tie-dye shirt, dark blue pants, and rainbow Crocs.
Responding swiftly to the report, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office has mobilized multiple search teams, including the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility Search and Rescue Team, Search and Rescue K9 units, Portsmouth Ambulance, and local Fire Departments. These teams are currently combing the area in an effort to locate the missing child.
Around 7:45 pm Search and Rescue units using K9 tracker dogs found the 6-year-old using her shoes they found in the woods.
Sheriff Tracy D. Evans has emphasized the importance of community assistance and cooperation in swiftly locating the missing child and ensuring her safe return home.
