The Commercial Carpentry program at Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center (CTC) has achieved remarkable success this school year, with its senior class collectively logging an impressive 21,034.88 hours of work and earning a staggering $405,231.55. This achievement marks a new record for both hours worked and dollars earned within the program.

The accomplishment was proudly shared by Pickaway-Ross CTC, showcasing the dedication and hard work of its senior students in the Class of 2024. The program’s success is substantiated by a screenshot from a Google Sheet, meticulously tracking the hours and pay submitted by seniors throughout the academic year.

The seniors, upon graduation, enter the workforce with a commendable starting wage ranging between $18 to $20 per hour. As they gain experience and tenure with their contractors, their pay scales accordingly, providing a promising trajectory for financial growth. Many of the graduating seniors who remained employed throughout the school year earned between $25,000 to $30,000, an impressive feat for high school students.

Notably, the recent signing day for junior students with contractors revealed an encouraging starting wage averaging between $20 to $23 per hour. With similar prospects for upward mobility as they accumulate experience, the Commercial Carpentry program continues to offer promising career pathways for its students.
