PICKAWAY – A local 2A group is hosting a fall shoot this weekend for fun and community.

Pickaway Mutual Defense Society is a private group that is made of county private citizens whose primary goal is to defend The Constitution of The United States Of America, Amendment 11 (The Right of The People to Keep and Bear Arms) and to educate the public of this “Right” by making the public aware of existing gun laws and gun law proposals in our States Legislature and expose State Representatives voting on such proposals. Pickaway Mutual Defense Society is also dedicated to the promotion of firearm safety and firearms training. PMDS will also offer preparedness classes with an emphasis on individual and family disaster preparedness and survival skills. Pickaway Mutual Defense Society is a Second Amendment Group dedicated to providing mutual aide to its county neighbors and community.

This weekend October 7, 2023, they will have their third annual .22 Long rifle shoot. There are several rounds including a ladies’ round and a kid’s round. The proceeds of this event will go back into society to help promote the groups visions. More info on the event below
