Pickaway – A woman who has a history of trafficking drugs was sentenced to prison again.

In December 2022 OSP made a stop on US-23 in the area of the South Bloomfield Arbys, in the passenger seat of that car was 40-year-old Melinda J. Fowler who when checked had warrants out of Pickaway County Sheriff’s office for narcotics-related offenses. Fowler was taken into custody, during the stop a K9 officer was called to the scene to perform a free-air sniff. The K9 alerted to the presence of drugs and during the search of the car OSP troopers found two folded aluminum foil pouches in the passenger seat door, one with a rock-like substance and one with a power white substance. Flower was charged with possession of drugs along with her warrants for trafficking in drugs from an earlier arrest.

Last week in court Fowler was found guilty of Trafficking in Cocaine, Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs and sentenced to 36 months in prison.
