COLUMBUS – A man who went to Teays Valley High school has died in Columbus from a shooting that happened on Thursday.
According to Police, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11:43 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of E. Main St. and S. Nelson Rd. on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived and found the victim lying in the street within the intersection of E. Main St. and S. Nelson Rd. suffering from gunshot injuries to the chest.
Officers initiated CPR until CFD Medics arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Travis Knisley.
This is the Columbus 153rd homicide in 2021.
