Pickaway County, OH — On Tuesday, a driver in Pickaway County disregarded posted barricades and drove into an area where crews were working on replacing a culvert on State Route 188.
Crews were diligently performing maintenance on SR 188 when the driver, ignoring clear warning signs and barriers, entered the restricted zone. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of why barricades are put in place—to ensure the safety of both drivers and construction workers.
The vehicle had to be towed out and may have caused damage or delays in repairing the road. The Sheriff department responded and the man was issued a ticket.
Update – The roadway will be back open tomorrow
