Pickaway County – Columbus Woman Found Guilty of Safecracking from Del Taco

Pickaway – A woman was arrested and charged with several crimes after stealing over a thousand dollars from Del Taco in Circleville has been found guilty

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s office, on October 17th, 2023 deputies were called to the scene of Del Taco in Circleville, when they arrived they were told that they had video evidence of an employee who stole safe keys and then accessed a safe that she wasn’t allowed to and then took a large amount of money.

According to cameras in Del Taco, Kaaliyah can be seen entering the business at 1242 hours and opening the safe under the workstation. Kaaliyah pulls out blue envelopes as well and begins counting cash. Around 1245 hours, cameras show Kaaliyah placing cash into her pocket. Kaaliyah then leaves the store without further incident. In total several thousand dollars were stolen

She was arrested and charged with theft and safecracking, fast forward to this week when she faced her charges in Pickaway County court. Kaaliyah of Columbus Ohio was found guilty of Safecracking (x2) and sentenced to 8 months in prison (suspended),
3 years of community control.
