US – President Biden agreed with a caller after he said a slur that is being used all over the county.

On Christmas Eve the president and his wife, Dr Jill Biden took calls on NORAD, North American Aerospace Defense Command Santa Tracker, which each year tracks Santa all over the world and updates children on progress. During those calls, the President was connected to a family in Oregon and they had a casual conversation for a while. At the end of the conversation Jared Schmeck, 35 from Oregon said, “let’s go Brandon” to the President who immediately repeated the slur and said, “I agree.”

“Let’s go Brandon” originated in an interview with a racing car driver by a TV reporter who may have misheard a crowd’s obscene chant about the president. That slur has expanded and flourished in right-wing and pro-Trump circles. Schmech says that he’s not part of those groups and didn’t mean any insults to the president.

“At the end of the day I have nothing against Mr Biden,” Jared Schmeck, 35, told the Oregonian newspaper. “But I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job. I mean no disrespect to him.”
