Ohio Woman Arrested for Attempted to Smuggle Drugs in Denture Adhesive to Inmate

BUTLER COUNTY – A woman has been arrested after trying to smuggle drugs into an inmate in a unique way

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on March 12, 2023 the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce (BURN), along with the help of jail investigations, arrested Melissa Riley (age 40) of Hamilton after she was caught trying to drop off a denture adhesive to an inmate containing Suboxone.

Riley was arrested and charged with Illegal Conveyance of Drugs, a felony 3 and booked into the Butler County Jail.

Sheriff Jones states, “If you try to smuggle drugs into our jail, we will have a cell ready for you.”
