COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against an Ohio man after a traffic stop in Summit County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 92 grams of methamphetamine worth approximately $7,500.

On June 12, at 7:32 a.m., troopers stopped a 2019 Nissan Sentra with Ohio registration for a speed violation on U.S. 224. While interacting with the occupants, a passenger made several furtive movements. He was asked to exit the vehicle. Upon exiting, troopers observed him put a baggy of white powder in his mouth. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and the contraband.

The passenger, Dannie Yeager, 22, of Akron, was incarcerated in the Summit County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine and trafficking in drugs, both first-degree felonies; tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; and resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.

If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison and up to a $50,000 fine.
