New Educational Director, Nature Center…with Animals? Park After Dark, Outdoor Education & Programs

Ross County — Outdoor recreation continues to expand around Chillicothe (part three, the end).

I checked in with the Ross County Parks District to find out what was new, and Myranda Vance, Executive Director, chatted with me about new developments and a few upcoming events for the county’s growing collection of parks and preserves. I have her interview audio paired up with various photos.

In the last of the resulting three videos (below), we continued on to new staff and what they hope to accomplish in terms of outdoor education and programs.

Raised in Ross County, Bearcat class of '87 at Paint Valley. Wrote a column on history and historic preservation for the Chillicothe Gazette right out of high school, then a bachelors in Journalism in the OU class of '91. After starting my one-man company "Intrepid Heritage Services" in Columbus in 1997 to offer historical research, tours, and talks, I retuned to Ross County in 2003.
