NELSONVILLE – Two men are being charged with assault and possibly more charges after assaulting an employee of the Mine Tavern this week.
On Thursday night into Friday Am, a call came into local police department at Public Square for a report of two intoxicated males who took open containers with them when they left the Mine. When an employee tried to stop the subjects, they punched the individual in the face. Officers located one of the two males in question.
The Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail was contacted but refused to accept the individual due to having no bed space available. Joshua Losey was charged with assault then released. Negative contact was made with the other named involved male at this time.
