Texas – Texas police reported that a serious call turned into a training moment for officers.
According to Diboil police department, a frantic 911 call on August 15 sent several officers flying with lights and sirens to the scene. The call three ten-year-olds are shooting a .22 rifle in the city. When officers arrived they found a much different situation.
“Three 10-year-old boys shooting a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun (just like Ralphie’s), at cans on the ground in a very safe manner.”
Police said on social media that they could have just left the scene once they realized what was really going on, but instead they decided to take some time out of their shift and teach the boys safe BB gun handling techniques.
The Chief says, “This extra effort is what makes your officers special.”
Maybe now they won’t have a chance to shoot their eye out.
