
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Proceedings in the Pickaway County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, before the Honorable Judge Matthew H. Chafin, saw several individuals standardizing their legal statuses through guilty pleas, presentence investigations, and pretrial scheduling.
Guilty Pleas and Presentence Investigations
- Stephanie Stokes, 32, whose address is listed at the Pickaway County Jail in Circleville, entered a guilty plea to Count 1, Possession of Cocaine (F-4), and an amended Count 2, Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound (F-4, amended from F-3). Judge Chafin ordered a presentence investigation (PSI) and scheduled sentencing for November 4, 2026.
- Angela Renee Tombs, 33, of Columbus, Ohio, pled guilty to Count 1, Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility or Institution (F-3), and Count 3, Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F-3). A presentence investigation was ordered, with sentencing set for November 4, 2026.
Not Guilty Pleas and Scheduled Pretrials
- James W. Picklesimer, 43, currently housed at the Pickaway County Jail in Circleville, entered a plea of not guilty to charges including Felonious Assault (F-1), Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of a Police Officer (F-3), and Receiving Stolen Property (F-4). A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for November 12, 2026.
- Jason L. Gullion, 44, listed at the Pickaway County Jail in Circleville, pled not guilty to an eight-count indictment. The charges include three counts of Felonious Assault with Specification (F-2), two counts of Improperly Discharging a Firearm at or Into a Habitation with Specification (F-2), two counts of Discharge of a Firearm on or Near Prohibited Premises with Specification (F-3), and Inducing Panic with Specification (F-4). Gullion’s pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 9, 2026.
