OHIO – More stimulus monies should be hitting bank accounts early next week as long as you have children and make a certain amount.
Part of the Rescue Plan that was passed by the Government at the beginning of 2021 called Child tax credit will be hitting bank accounts since July 15th. For a working family with two kids: that’s $500 or more on the 15th of every month this year. Those checks will continue in October, November, and December.
Qualifications of this stimulus are for those with children, the American Rescue Plan increased the Child Tax Credit from $2,000 per child to $3,000 per child for children over the age of six and from $2,000 to $3,600 for children under the age of six and raised the age limit from 16 to 17. All working families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent.
These payments will come in as 500 dollar payments monthly for the next several months.
Most families won’t have to do anything, if you filed your taxes or signed up to receive a stimulus check, the money will just deposit in your bank account.
