A rifle salute sounds in Chillicothe's St. Margaret’s Cemetery during Memorial Day 2024 ceremonies.

Chillicothe & Ross County — Memorial Day on May 27th started off with a volley and taps at 9am at Grandview Cemetery. Along with the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, the Sons of the Veterans of the Civil War will participated.

Then at St. Margaret’s Cemetery, another volley and taps sounded at 9:30. I caught video of both events.

The Ross County Veterans Honor Guard then continued on to Greenlawn Cemetery, Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Hallsville, and Roland Cemeteries.

Bob Leach, member of the Ross County Veterans Commission, explained the Memorial Day commemorations, as well as a walking tour next weekend in my previous story.
