Madison County – One person has died in a wrong-way crash and another in serious condition Saturday morning
The crash happened around 4 am on Interstate 70 near Route 56, according to the Ohio State Highway patrol. A Chevrolet Cruze was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on I-70 when the driver struck a Honda CRV, driven by 31-year-old Mikenson Elzire, who was in the eastbound lanes.
Elzire was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the Cruise whose name was not in the report was transported to Grant Medical Center.
OSP said that Alcohol may have played a factor in the crash, the incident remains under investigation.
