Local Rotary Clubs Name 2021 Ethics Award Winner

Lancaster, Ohio – Park National Bank, Lancaster, Ohio, was presented with the 2021 John T. Dye Rotary Business Ethics Award on Monday, March 15 at the Lancaster Rotary Club’s virtual meeting.

The award, presented annually by the Baltimore Rotary, Lancaster Ohio Rotary, The Rotary Club of Lancaster-Sherman, recognizes a local business that has been nominated by its peers in the community for demonstrating outstanding ethical practices in its work. This year’s winner was selected by a committee of members from all three clubs from more than a dozen nominations.

The award is given to a business that exemplifies Rotary International’s Four Way Test, asking: is it the truth, is it fair to all concerned, will it build good will and better friendships, and will it be beneficial to all concerned. The award is named for the late John T. Dye, a life-long member of the Rotary Club of Lancaster, who personified Rotary’s Four Way Test and served our local community tirelessly.

Members of Rotary highlighted Park National Bank’s commitment to look beyond its own objectives and consider the best interests of others. Part of the company’s core values states, “Our commitment to honesty and fairness is unwavering. Quite simply, we do the right thing.”

The Rotary Club of Lancaster is part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. The Lancaster Rotary Club is comprised of approximately 140 business and community leaders and professionals who meet weekly for programs, networking, and friendship on Mondays at Noon.
